Six Weeks

I am six weeks today.

The formation of the lungs, jaw, nose, and palate begin now. The hand and feet buds have webbed structures that will become the fingers and toes. The brain is continuing to form into its complex parts. A vaginal ultrasound could possibly detect an audible heartbeat at this time. The embryo is about a ½ inch in length.

Might be feeling classic pregnancy symptom of fatigue the last two days. Then again, it might just be the weeks of poor sleep catching up with me! :)

Lucky for me, I managed to squeeze in naps yesterday and today both!

To be honest though, I wouldn't mind feeling a little more pregnant. You would think I would have more confidence with each pregnancy, but I have actually worried a little more with each one. It's not disabling, but every day I have to give it to God. I believe I am doing my part- eating really well, getting out walking, getting my rest, keeping stress levels low. So then since this baby is from God, I trust that God is on top of things at His end.

The scripture written on our kitchen whiteboard applies perfectly:

Do not be anxious in anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
- Philippians 4:6
